I'm looking to get an automatic fan relay for my 425. I can get one that is on @ 200 / off @ 185 or one that is on @ 185 / off @ 170. Which one should I go with, high or low? Thanks.

I gather you ditched the stock fan. Where you live, I'd guess that going for the lower temp would have the electric fan running constantly, especially summer-maybe not, if you have a big aftermarket radiator on the car. I think running @200 is probably ok-do you have gauges on the car to monitor eng temp?

    What thermostat do you have?

If you have a 195 thermostat, then a 185/170 relay will just run constantly and waste energy.

I don't know what thermostat I have yet. Yes, I did ditch the manual fan because I don't have room for it. I do have a very large, custom built radiator for the motor. Would it help to put a lower thermostat in it, or should I exchange the controller for the 200 version?

You can get a fully adjustable relay for about $20 more that is well worth it as the seasons change out. Varies from 160-220* in most cases.

Hayes makes one, but you'll have to re-crimp all the ends on the wired for it to work.
