need a good VW board

    Does anyone know of a good Volkswagen Scirocco board? I am going to resurrect an 87 Scirocco in Bham over Christmas, and would like to ask what tools to take with me on the airplane to change a battery and alternator.

    Frank, I found the manual and it is dated 1977, this maybe to old but if you or anybody wants it the price is right ($0.00) AL. :beer

    Can you tell if the alternator is mounted high or low?

    The book show it right up top, and all the ones I've seen are easy to change out, but Hondas are a bitc# :rant: AL.

    It looks like a good board, in other words, maybe 10% of what this board is!

    As I browse around, I have not found a resource that is this nice, friendly, complete and just all around wonderful as this board is.

    Are there some others that can hold a candle to V8buick.com?
