Just read on the web somewhere that a timing cover for the nailhead is going to reproduced? If this is true I would like to hear more if anyone knows about it. :eek2:
There's a guy participating on the Yahoo Nailhead board who's in the planning stages of this project...it sounds very promising! There will be a stock and a finned version, both CNC'd, and price is expected to be in the upper 100's. And did I read that TA Performance is considering this project as well? You might want to check with them...
Rob, That would be the upper One- hundreds, ie, under $200. Here is the last post from Ken, who is doing the project: From: Ken Dagel <kwdagel@y...> Date: Tue Dec 10, 2002 12:28 pm Subject: Re: [NailHeadBuick] timing cover One of the issues we are working on is finding a good supplier of a good grade of aluminum alloy. A casting shop wants the cover as soon as modeling is done to do a mockup as well. An option I want to see is to have the inside anodized to stop the whole corrosion issue. Right now a cnc'd one would be approx. $175 but that could change dramatically with the right supplier. A cast one I am told around $100. I will keep all posted on the results. Either way, I will have one for myself with the fins on the face. Ken Link for this post on the Yahoo Nailhead site is: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/NailHeadBuick/message/2000
