Intake sold to Dan K. Sorry William.. If you did the "Truffle Shuffle" we would have had a deal
Interested In the bellhousing, but I have not heard of it before. Does it fit your typical 455 block? Will it work with a TA flywheel? And how does the starter mount, and does it require a different type of starter?
It will indeed fit a Buick 455, as well as a Buick 300, 340, 350, 400, 430.. Along with Oldsmobile's, Pontiac's, and Caddy's offerings... I don't know if a TA flywheel will fit, perhaps an inquiry to TA with a copy of the picture might get an answer. I talked to a Quartermaster rep about the bellhousing. The starter must be bought through Quartermaster and is a special reverse-rotation starter (I am sure you could find a good one used online). The Quartermaster rep also said that these bellhousings were about $425 new and you can no longer get them new. They are out of stock and it would take an order of 50 or more to get them to make another run. wes:beer
Stronger, lighter, more compact, no starter vs. header issues... I believe these were SFI approved, though you'd need to get a new sticker.
