Nailhead ID help!!!!!!

    Howdy,

    I'm selling my 65 Riviera GS and trying to makesure its numbers matching so I'm pulling the block codes and such. From the information on the web the block code is supposed to be upsidedown???:confused: On mine it rightside up and looks like this
    L X383
    that space is kind of interesting. Do I have a conterfiet block or what???? Also to match the engine to the car I need to match the block number (the one on the other side of the crossover?) to the last 8 of the VIN?:Do No: Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for the info, other than the casting code being rightside up instead of upside down everything is perfect! This is a numbers matching car.
