Just gotta do some homework to find all the parts you need. There are several suppliers out there with nice Nailhead items. Then find a machine shop that knows how to do a Nail.
Custom parts can be made but the price for such makes most people go :ball:

Just got my bill today to completely rebuild my 401, bored 30 over, put a cam in that I got from Carmen Faso,
I think I understand why so many people build chevy motors, I could likely build 2 for the same price, but then, with a chevy, there'd be no CLASS :bglasses:

I like when you open the hood at cruise night and people say "a what head?"
Any joe shmoe can build a small block, it takes a real man to build a nailhead. I love the torque and love the fact that it's different. If i hear one more redneck spout off about a hemi, i'm gonna jump off a bridge. NAILHEADS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who pops the hood and says "Wow its a 350!"...we call them belly buttons because everybody has one. SBCs are boring, uninteresting and mundane. A guy approached me at a bar once after looking at my 65 Riv in the parking lot and told me I should consider the "350 option" with my car. I nearly choked on my drink I was so insulted!

The response I used to get is....'What the h*** is that!?"

Yeah, neat motors!.....starting to see more in old hot rods.
They're catching on, so expect to see some more goodies becoming available for us.

Yea, when I first started my 65 skylark project, everyone looked at me like I had 3 heads, they didn't know what one would look like, everyone thought I should build a Chevelle or a GTO (I do like GTO's).
I also had people say. "put a 350 in it". I think it just shows the mentality of some people when they can't think 'outside the box'. In fact when people would say the 350 chevy remark, I started to get offended.
But just like a couple other people have said in this post, you don't see too many people getting excited over a 350, now a 409 or a 502 GM would get my attention, but you don't see them every day! :3gears:

Hey on that NWspeed site, do those intake riser pieces bolt right up, or is there modifications involved, does it really help with HP and Torque?

Those risers just bolt on and come with hardware and gaskets. No looking for parts! And they do work!

I thought those were just for making enough clearance for the intake to clear a finned valley cover.......... :Dou:
