I will be taking the old Mod to Hill top speedway this Friday night. (May 12) If you are close to Millersburg Ohio this promises to be a great show. Lots of folks have good memories of this track that has been closed for thirty years.
Plans are to have the car on display behind the grandstands early in the evening and run some exhibition laps at intermission. Also on track will be a replica 50s indy car .
All of this is weather permitting. Check the tracks web site http://www.hilltopspeedway.net/ for updates and directions.
Hope to see some of you there. John

    Dirt Nailhead

I remember going to South Bend Motor Speedway back in the early to mid 60's and watching the "Super Modifieds" run, There was a guy from Lakeville/Lapaz Indiana that ran a nailhead in a nice looking car there. His name was Jim Blount. The car ran real well and he was always a contender. The guy that used to win the most was Dick Good, his car was small block chevy powered and I believe it was #12. Man that was fun, I will never forget those races.-Mike D.
