nail flex/tq conv migraine

    DEADMANSCURVE my first word : truck

    awhile ago i purchased a 65 'cat 401 and trans (green) and a 66 riv' 401 and trans (red) . the 'cat was cherry and i had the engine done/balanced and the trans gone through with a good hd kit . the 66 was for spare . i sent the only "green paint" flex i had to get balanced , now it appears that it does not match the bolt holes for a 65-66 tq conv or the poston "switch" i got and it is a larger diameter than the possible "red" flex from the 66 . i know i should have checked better before sending it off but it appeared to be in the "no brainer" catagory . it was green , it matched the crank , etc . luckily the balance shop was good and serial #"s are on all balanced parts and they keep the history to duplicate balance from what i know . its not a huge problem because the nailhead now is sitting and waiting for a body or rod to go into and i'm busy with the special . just don't want to go down any more wrong roads . any logical,common sense,kick in the ass,comments or answers are appreciated . thanks del
