Does anyone know a good place to find new/used n25 exhaust tips? Has anyone used bumper boyz out of california?
First off, Stay away from Bumper Boyzou: They have a really bad reputation. In the past I have read accounts of the chrome plating(if you can call it that) coming off in the car wash. Don't know how they stay in businesso No: As far as the N-25 tips go. I used to see this advertisement in The GS Extra. I know Dennis Wheeler was involved in restoring headlight bezels. He probably still has these. They are pricey, but they are stainless.
N 25 tips in the mail yet ? Also Poston's carry them . Cost for stainless repos go for 235.00 plus shipping . the 3" tips will be a higher cost at 255.00 plus shipping. Postons phone nimber is 1 - 800 - 635 - 9781  :3gears: :bglasses:
Year One I believe Year One carries the repo's made by Jim Burek as well. I'm not sure Wheelz is still making them.I'll shoot him an e-mail & find out.........Jeff
I designed the stainless N25 tips that Dennis Wheeler is selling. I don't think he has any left. I had the orig. N25 tips and they rusted away in no time. I would suggest you go with stainless steel. If you can not find them, you can have them made. That's how this whole idea of mine got started. They "look" stock when installed but are different from the originals. Good Luck!
I am looking to upgrade my stock n-25 exhaust from 2 1/4 to 2 1/2". Although Year One carries the exhuast hanger for the n-25 tip, it's only for 2 1/4. I'm interested in knowing whether anyone has modified this hanger (attached) or what other options you may have used to secure a 2 1/2" pipe or greater to the end tip. If you have the 2.25" originals, you can have the 2.5" made at any local machine shop. It is very simple.
