Can anyone in central NJ know of a good place to get your nitrous tank filled? I've been down to Englishtown more than once for time trials and been unable to get it filled down at the decal shop for various reasons (closed when they should be open, out of nitrous) etc, and was looking for a more reliable source. I know there is one in Denville, but thats a bit out of my way. Anyone know of a place? James '71 Skylark convertible.
Most commercial gas places like AGA might have NOS and should be able to take care of you. Just look in the yellow pages for someone that refills oxygen, acetalene, etc.
When I can get the stuff, its about $4/lb. I have a 10lb tank, so about $40, just about the same price as fuel these days. I just realized that I live real close to a very well known import shop (TuboTrix) that might have the facilities to fill the tank. James, I should have asked earlier, but how many runs does a bottle usually last you? (If you haven't noticed, I'm trying to figure out the value of nitrous) Jacob
Jacob, Good question, I've done the math and it really should last me about 6 runs with a 150 shot, however without a bottle warmer to keep the pressure up your not going to see more than 3 runs before it starts falling off. You want to make sure you keep the bottle at 900 PSI to get the most out of it. James
