My weekend project

    Different mounting system. Bumper side is a u-bend end that slips in a slotted tab. Then strap end tab has an elongated hole and then there is just a screw hole opposite it and it used a torx screw to clamp the ends.

    If you used any zip ties, the Home Depot or lowes have stainless ties that won't deteriorate like plastic.

    Anyone know what size, thread type the sending unit ground wire bolt is? I seem to have misplaced it.

    Okay, so I never got around to finishing this thread with the results.

    So after finishing up the fuel lines, it was time for the tank. That was some chore, I tell ya, with no lift and being by myself. It took using the floor jack on a piece of wood to hold the tank in place. Then I had to use another jack to push/bend the new straps into place. Then as expected, the capture nuts were shot, so I had to get a little creative with new bolts, washers and a double nut to secure it down.
