After biscuits and gravy i was sitting outside talking with my wife and a nice cool old lady struck up a convo and long story short I was driving to her house so she could give me 2 boxes of old car magazines. But then she started giving me so much stuff. Glad I got the 8track player in the lark. Led zeppelin, Fleetwood mac, delfonics and some.

Never know what will come from staring a convo with a stranger. 15601066746137024292197593507754.jpg

Yeah I could tell she was, she had a cool biker shirt loose tang top. Engine annual and car crafts from the 70's. I took that test for the water plant yesterday and am leaving toward hvac over electrical. The water plant is plan B

Great find!! Years ago, people jus tossed these tapes into the garbage. Do not be surprised that since these tape are so old, that the sponge pads & the tape that connects the ends of the audio tape have or are about to fail. Been there; done that. I have repaired do many 8 track tapes.

Hey Ronnie... if they dont sound right its because that tape was iron oxide imbedded cellulose and that film actually gets "rusty". All my cassettes did that too! That rust will collect on the pick up head on the player and you need to clean it often. Just sayin'! ws

Unfortunately, you cant clean the tape. 8 tracks are wound weird. Look under the tape in the business end and youll see a one sided felt wiper. It really needs one on the face side as well. If it was a reel to reel, theres a double sided felt pad that rubs the tape when it passes through. You can clean the head on the player with an eraser on a yellow pencil. That may help. Cassette heads are buried inside as the cassette drops into the play position when inserted. They suck to clean. Try them and see, but dont get too disappointed. Dampness helps the rust happen too. ws
