2 Saturdays ago my buddy Pat and I swapped the front drums for disc brakes on my Riviera. I put a Hurst line lock kit in while I had it all disassembled. On sunday I was out with the wife cruisin'. We were traveling south on Commack Road south of Jericho Tpke. (2 lane roadway for anyone who cares) I am sitting at a light behind an Audi A4 with a red Ti (or something) emblem on the rear trunk lid, I know its a turbo. The guy takes off like a bat out of hell and I hook on to his bumper like a trailer. At the next light I get side by side with this spoiled Dix Hills kid (rich lil' "F" whose daddy bought him an Audi for his first car) Push the line lock button and proceed to smoke some Cooper Cobras. Just as the light turns, I was letting off a little and I release the button. I hook up and we are off. I have him by a whole car to the next light, considering I spun through first. He revs this 4 cyl. turbo and wants more. This time I don't smoke em' I just hold and launch. Toasted his pampered ass by 3 cars. At least he had the respect to give me a thumbs up before he turned off the road. Can't wait for the Dual Quad set-up to go on in a few weeks! :3gears:
sweet kill :beers2: Wish I was there or better yet I hope to do something very similar with one minor change. If I did that with my wife in the car she probably wouldn't talk to me for a month. I scare her with my "normal" driving, forget racing! ou:
Did it feel like you were being launched off the "Carrier Deck"???? Glad to hear she's still runnin' soooo good for such a high mileage engine. Yea, I'll just have a set of those "Adjustable Roller Tip Rocker Arms" please!!!!!
