NICE RIDE!!!! My mom and dad's neighbor across the street use to have one just like it. She was prone to back over the bushes my parents planted with that MASSIVE rear bumper. LOL!!!
Thanks guys. I've wanted one for about the last 20 years or so, but never thought I'd have the means to get one. But sometimes we make our own luck, and after the tough decision to let the Riv go, I was able to afford it with a personal loan and the funds from the black car. So I bought this for a (belated) 40th birthday present to myself. The lady that owned it really liked me and cut me a really good deal on it. She was quite funny and I will say we shared a lot of the same views, and she wasn't afraid to tell you about it hahaha. Her husband is a retired aircraft mechanic so I feel confident the car is done well. The car is already lowered 2", has an aluminum radiator, electronic ignition, an AFB, and aftermarket A/C, so I'm not afraid to take it a LITTLE farther. My plans are to put on a set of Supremes, pinstripe the hood and trunk (maybe the corners of the white top, too), put in a hidden stereo, and drive it for the next 40 years, God willing. EDIT: Oh, and trick out the engine compartment, too. That's my favorite thing to do.

I'll be a little kid..... I drove Lucas' car! I drove Lucas' car!!! LUCAS!!! Thank you for the kind words! Whoa, that was an interesting job. On the way to Tony and Tina's house I texted Lucas and asked him specifically what he wanted me to look for. He told me rust where the floors meet the rocker panels and rust where the front floorboards go up towards the firewall. I can do that. I had already asked Tina if her husband had a floor jack. She said yes. I pull up in my old truck and the husband in his battery operated scooter points for me to park all the way in the backyard. He comes up behind me, hops off of his scooter, and is giddy as a kid. He wants to show me his magnetic signs he took off of his truck's tailgate. TRUMP 2020 and M.A.G.A! The husband says, "I took them off in case you were one of those people." Cracked me up. (Yes, my back window has the same stickers and they don't come off.) Lucas was right. This 84 year old couple were super nice!!! The husband is getting forgetful, so Tina takes over. They show me the car inside and out. It is BEAUTIFUL!!! I tell them I have to see under the car. Tony jacks the front end up. I tried several times to get under the car. Tony didn't jack it up high enough. Me, "Tony, can I jack it up a bit higher?" Tony, "Sure." I squat down and check the position of the jack before I raise it higher. HOLY SH T!!! I'll never let an 84 year old man jack a car up for me ever again! It was barely under the front cross member. Dam, I could have been Lucas' first road kill!!! I'm finished checking the front and I told them I'm going to check the rear. (How l o n g is this car???) I go to put the jack under the rear end. The jack, handle, and all got swallowed up!!! It's a nice 3 ton jack too. I'm pumping the jack handle 4 inches at a time. Good Lord! (Have fun Lucas!!!) Tina's husband went in to rest for a bit. As I pumping away I told Tina, "I'm leaking." She said, "What!" Sweat is pouring off of my face. Tina says to me, "I like it hot." (That was a true conversation!) I'm finished checking everything under the rear end. Did I tell you Tina is HOT for an 84 year old!!! Can't believe I just said that! She must have been fun in her younger days!!! Now it's time for the test drive. When you open the doors it is just amazing. I can tell Tina likes it big. Sorry, it slipped. This car has more leg room, hip room, and the backseat, whoa! Tony was going to back it out of the garage. I got in the passenger side, and Tina got in the backseat. That's where I wanted to be! > Tony drove until we got out to some open roads. That was good. It gave me time to see how curvaceous she was. Let me tell you, she was smooth. She might be old, but she had all the right moves!!! It was my turn to drive. I got out of the back seat. LMAO!!!!! OK, I'll try to be serious. Lucas' new car drives beautifully. It was NOT what I expected for a 60 year old car. The steering was tight. (Yes, I'm talking about the car) The big drum brakes didn't pull side to side. They worked great! We get back to the house and we're all talking like we've known each other for years. Then, like Lucas said. I tell them I have to call Lucas and tell him what I thought. Tina said, "Can you do it in front of us?" I thought that was weird, but what the heck. I told Lucas the good, and the bad. The bad list is picky stuff I found. In front of them I told Lucas, "Yes, it's a buy." It was an interesting day. The truth... When I left there I told Tina and Tony I wish they were my neighbors. They said, likewise. What a cute, nice old couple. The end..... Lucas... It was MY pleasure!!! I was hoping to meet you personally, and you drive the car home. It would do it!!! But I agree with you on crazy weather along the way. You didn't mention anything about getting drunk, going to prison, a truck, or "mama getting run over by a train." David Allan Coe...........................
Somethings I saw along the way. I think the 18 wheeler was making a very wide U-turn, and the stupid young lady was probably texting and driving. It may not look it from the picture, but she got half of her car underneath his trailer!

Joe, I only had three beers in me when I wrote that. I'm not kidding, this guy's wife was hot for 84 years old. Way better than my 59-year-old wife. I won't lie, I was laughing as I wrote it.
