Before the flat black primer and scoop was added to the hood......also before I let one of my friends drive and wreck the right side of it into a tree.....:( Friends shouldn't let friends drive sometimes......

I will eventually take more and better pictures when the weather warms up a little bit....my camera is kinda a cheapy too but it works at least.....it runs real good too but I took the battery out of it and am using it in the truck right now because quite frankly I am working a part time job, still, and am finishing up my last few credits I need to get my diploma from High School and I just can't afford to keep both vehicles on the road...I only have one more payment to make on my 86 F-150 and I have it payed off and it gets better gas mileage than my Buick which is why I am using it instead, because I had rather be driving my Buick since it doesn't crap out on my all the time like my truck does and that 350 pulls the Buick with ease, where-as the 146+ thousand mile 302 in my truck pulls like a slug....I sacrifice power/reliability for gas mileage these days I guess.....:Do No: The 350 came out of a 1970 Skylark and had 62k original miles on it when I got it......and I only put about 7 or so thousand on it so I believe it still has under 70 thousand original miles....never been rebuilt and pulls hard.......I just wish it were a 4 barrel engine.....but it's becoming rare to find an original '70 350-2 barrel that's not ever been tore down before, so I don't even know if I have the heart to rebuild it and put goodies on it myself, though if I do keep the engine, sometime on down the road when I get a better job and get some more money rolling in, I plan on finding some other car with a more solid foundation to drop the engine in to.....the body is pretty shot on the Century...ever since i've had it, it has never been "perfect" but especially once I let one of my "friends" behind the wheel he pretty much put the nail-in-the-coffin for it.....it still runs, drives...but the brakes are shot, and it has major rust and it just looks ugly from the tree wreck...:spank: And parts are too hard to find for these cars and when you do find them, too costly......I am not so sure what my plans are for the car yet........I thought numerous of times about selling the car(engine and all) to someone since I am not using it but the engine holds a lot of memories, even though I haven't put that many miles on it......me and a very very very good friend of mine did the engine swap and I owe it all to him for getting me hooked on Buicks in the first place....and i'd hate to just see it go but I guess time will tell what happens!!!

The hood scoop looks good - gives the car an aggressive look. Changing from a 2bbl to a 4bbl is not that difficult - I did it not too long ago with my Skylark's 350.

Thanks.....I didn't think it looked too bad on there.....some say it look out of place and some say it looks good...to me I think it looks good, but would look even better if it were functional, which was one of my plans had the car not been wrecked!:spank: But if I do decide to keep the engine I am thinking about a mid 70's skylark or any kind of Buick or(some would hate me for it) I might consider a Nova or something smaller for the 350 to pull....if I do change it over to a 4 bbl i'd love to get the aluminum intake and a good carb. while I am at it.....so many options and things to think about with just a tad bit of time left....

I know it's been ages since i've even been to this website but I figured i'd let everyone know im still alive and tickin, and the Buick is doing the same. I was dumb enough to buy an '86 F-150 with 139 K miles on it and sell the Buick...well it didn't work out so well, as the Ford kept shitting out on me all the time, and I just missed my Buick too much. So I got it back from the dude I sold it too for a pretty reasonable deal. He did a little bit of work to it while he had it but I have done some myself since I got it back 2 days ago. It's coming along, really slowly but surely.

Updates: Rear window was self tinted, had a strip of tint go across the front of the windshield for looks and it helps work as a visor to help keep sun out of my face(but still more so for looks), hood and scoop were repainted finally to match the rest of the car, another full coat was added to the whole car, got a nice set of s-10 wheels 14" and some decent looking tires to match, upgraded from a cheapy Walmart CD player to a decent Pioneer, but need some nice speakers/and(or) subs, also has a straight pipe on it now(the guy I sold it to cut it off where the cherry bomb was) and I do like the sound but it is excessively loud at times, also the driver side floor pan gave so we have 2 sheets of metal situated up to stand on but soon enough im going to go in with a grinder and some metal cuttin tools and fix that problem and get those sheets more stable and permanent. Keep in mind this is far from and never will be a show car, and I don't intend on making it one for various reasons, but I do want to make it a presentable driver/cruiser. This car has never left me stranded other than when it ran out of gas one time and that was my fault. I never knew how much this car meant to me until I got rid of it. It was only gone for a lil over 2 months but that was a lonely 2 months. It just sat when i got the Ford and so I haven't even been driving it for probably about 6 or 7 months prior to selling it so I just forgot how much this car means to me. It may look like junk still but it's a project, and it still beats a FORD(turd) by a long shot! It even has a bigger engine('70 Buick 350) than my F-150 and still gets better mpg lol. And it was meant to run on leaded gasoline haha!
