Well, after searching for a 64-69 Sportwagon or Vista Cruiser, I choose a different path and finally pulled the trigger on this 70 Chevy Impala Kingswood. You know how you can just 'feel' that it's the right car? Well this was it--right condition, right price, right location, etc. It needs only minor work and its got only 43,000 original miles, totally rust-free, unmolested, and even has A/C. Anyhow, thought you wagon fans might like to see it. Now, back to the sportwagon - vista search again.
That is one nice wagon :TU: Congrats on the find :beer I have a model that looks alots like your new wagon with a few mods :Brow: Beth
Dana and Beth, I've been following the progress of your wagon on this site--that is one awesome sportwagon! It looks great. Will you have it at the local Chicago area shows? Do ever bring it out to the cruise nights all around the area? I usually try to make to the several area cruise nights in the north and northwest suburbs.
Pete, Thanks :beer . We will be at as many shows, cruises & races as we can this year. Have you checked out the Chicagoland's GSCA site? http://chicagolandbuick.org Bunch of great people and alot of events through out the year. In face our first race of the year (The Samantha Rix Memorial Race) will be at Byron Dragway April 24th. Nothing beats a day at the races with these goofball people  :3gears: Beth
Lucky find! That wagon didn't happen to belong to a retired trooper did it? I recall seeing one like it up for sale on the net a while back.
Jim, The wagon was on ebay a few weeks ago. I don't think the guy was a retired trooper, he was a body man, I think. Anyhow, thanks for the kind comments--its always fun to get a new toy, huh?
