As most of you know, this is 1 of 1244, so you don't see yourself coming down the street every day. It is all original interior, top and drive train, 64,500 original miles, runs good. I just put 2 1/4 duals with turbo mufflers on it 2 weeks ago.

The wheels came from a board member, the Wildcat center caps from another board member, and I just got the tires. The pans and trunk are rust free, and the original double whitewall spare is still in the trunk. It is bamboo cream. The paint was a cheap job, but it holds a shine OK-- fine for a driver, which this is.

    I love drop tops!

Thanks fellas... I got really, really lucky. Sometime this summer, I decided a Wildcat Convertible would be my next car; either a 65, 66 or 70. This car was listed here on this board in the summer of 2005, and didn't sell then. :Do No:

I did a search one slow day and found it (in Michigan) and a deal was soon struck, because after the thread was resurrected it was apparent it was not going to last long.

Here is the original thread from 2005.

    Here is this summer's thread.

I had it shipped, and have had it about 2 months. It needs a tune up and maybe a carburetor overhaul (it has an off idle flat spot), and the water pump makes noise, but that's all easy stuff.

She does look like a dog, doesn't she? Well, at least she's loyal.

So after I take these pics, I go to Costco. I'm in there 30 minutes maybe, and when I'm walkin' to the car, there is a crowd (is 3 a crowd? whatever, it makes the story better) standin' around the car.

As I get there, sure enough, it's not the car they're in love with-- it's the dog. :Dou:

    Looks great!

Looks great Frank. Makes me wish I had pulled the trigger.
Those wheels and tires really make it. A Wildcat needs white letters
to advertise it's got a little muscle.
Did go to Austin over Thanksgiving but didn't have much time to look you up.
Next trip though will try to see it in person.

That will be great. I think the white letters are perfect too.

Next time you are here I will have it power tuned too so I'll take you for a ride...

hey man, great lookin car you got there!! Tell me, how much of a differance did the dual exhaust make? Thats what our will be getting, when we get it.....

Lots of difference... I don't see why a car with 500+ tq comes with single exhaust and a restrictive muffler :Dou: :Do No: but it did...

Frank, glad you like the car and I am happy it went to a good home, enjoy it.My wife and younger son (4yrs old) are not happy it's gone as he asks when the 'bertible is coming home.At least you have a good weather on a regular basis down there as opposed to being in Seattle east (metro Detroit)-Todd
