So i just bought my my lesabre for 350 bucks about a week ago. the other night i was driving home from work around 11:40pm when i hit the freeway, i looked in my mirror and saw a nice looking celica coming up on my left. i thought it would be a good time to see what this thing could do. i let him catchup and easly evened out speed looking over i saw he was a young fellow with a chick in the car with him.., hoping he'd go for it.. i egged him on a bit. sure enough i heard him down shift and go for it. so i floored it. staying perfectly even i looked over and laughed. he shifted and pulled slightly ahead, but we started out at like 65, and i know my power is at the lower end and i was running it out. by the time i had to slow down to hit my exit. he was about half a car ahead of me. it was awsome! he must weigh half what i do. not bad for an old beast and 350 bucks ;) compared to what he had invested into his celica. fun stuff! love this thing. and being completely stock looking very much forward to getting some more HP behind the wheel =D..

so cheers!. i'm in love with my buick.

yah i was the same way when i first got my car...
It had single exhaust and 20 year old cap rotor and wires and i still had to try and pick fights with ricers..
I picked a fight with a little ford focus xp and it literally blew my doors off.
After a few months and a few thousand dollars more i'm now makin eyes bulge
that drive mustangs. I'm still running points and a 2 barrel and give a good race against most ..Even cars i know thatll wil kill me.. I'll still race them just to see where it stands and even more so just to see the faster car " Get It"..
I beat Trans Ams and most mustangs with automatics now..
Even beat an old trans am/firebird with a 350. Looked like a late 70's car.
They just always catch me after 3rd shift around 75mph.
most of my losses are due to wheel slippage.

too bad it was not a light to light race otherwise you would have pulled at least 6 cars on him i know i pulled 1 and i was driving a chevy 2.2 with a 5 speed on a truck :Dou:
