Can you post some photos of the interior and seat? How far back do you know the ownership history? The color combination of your car is very attractive in my opinion. Decades ago my dad made a custom seat for one of his cars that wasn’t available in his model but was created so perfectly that people thought that he had a rare 1 of 1 car. So some strange things happen to these cars over the last 50+ years.
I’m looking for a picture but no luck so far. Seat was original with the car, also the they tell me the paint code was Burnished cinnamon, the car is Bittersweet mist. Like a copper penny. Dad bought it and I got it from him my senior year in high school. It’s in grey and black primer now. So go figure, it’s weird but only changes I made were power windows, gauges and of course I added a 455 when I blew up my 2nd 350.
There's a '70 out there w/custom green bucket seats in the correct material. I think someone in OK had it when I saw pics. That's pretty solid ownership history!
I have been confused on 1971 interiors since I got into 1971 Buicks. On some body styles, you can get trim (A) in color (1),but not in color (2). likewise, You can not get Trim B in color (1), but can get it in color (2). Examples: My 1971 Skylark Custom Convertible interior , 04B buid date,Trim code 134, has Sandlewood Deluxe split bench seat, no armrest. Documented original interior. Documents say Armrest in Sandlewood not available in convertible, but is available in coupe. My 1971 GS 455, 05D build date, Trim code 150, has green Deluxe split bench with armrest. According to order sheets, those are correct. Why not have the same trim available in all available colors for the same body style baffles me?
That’s my interior with an armrest also it doesn’t have the metal at the bottom backside of the armrest like on some cars.
