My first car and project Bought my first car a few weeks ago. It runs, all stock. recently rebuilt tranny. WELCOME!!! :beers2: you've come to the right place for all things pertaining to your car! lookin fwd to seein the pics!
Okay question. How do i change the rear blinker light. The one i need is the one behind the trunk, the very outside one. the left blinker.
you might jave to take off those 3 plastic filler pieces between the inside of the trunk and the rear bumper. but it seems like you might be able to go in from the bottom, behind the bumper. it's been a while since i've been in there. i like the pics! your whole life, you'll only have one 'first' car. you got a good one there, enjoy!!! :beers2:
Welcome to v8buick, and a great 'project' car - your in for some fun ! You can access the rear outside tail lights working under the car behind the bumper, it's a bit of a sqeeze, but a lot easier than removing the rear bumper. The other lights can be accessed by removing the filler panels on top of the rear bumper. Check out the Riviera Owners Association (ROA) web site at www.rivowners.org for info on your 'first' car. Good luck with your '69 ! :beer :TU:
Hey, that is pretty neat that your first car is the same type I bought years ago. Mine is a '69 Riv. GS. I bought it from the original owner that bought it new in Hawaii. I have all kinds of stuff the lady had saved from the bill of sale and first tag (Hawaii) to nearly every tag ever bought for it. Unfortunately a few years ago I was acting a fool and blew the engine up. It serves me right for acting up....lol To me, the Riviera is a luxury hot rod. It has styling that was ahead of it's time and it has power that some muscle cars don't have. I wish you luck in putting yours back into great condition. I'm hoping to get back onto mine sometime soon. Wes
Welcome and congrats on buying one of the finest Buick's out there (I'm a little biased) Like the others said this is the place to get all your answers and a lot of parts. Steve
