Last night, I'm on my way home from the fiance's house listening to the Super Bowl on the awesome 8-track AM with (wow) 4-way speakers...

Anyway, right before I take the exit home from the interstate, this pale blue set of headlights gets right up to my behind to the point that I can't even see them. After the turn on the exit I hear this pooting noise and see this little blue Honda (rims, fart pipe, wing, lights, bass boat paint, etc.) with some teen with bleached hair giving all he has to fly-by like he's all bad and stuff.

I smash the gas before he can get a nose on me. I have one muffler blown (I'll get around to it soon) so it sounds like Taladega as I quickly match his acceleration and show him the rear end of a '73 Century (You'd think he got a good enough look earlier. SHEESH!!):Do No:

Yay on my first kill with the Century!!!

Yeah buick really out-did themselves on making the century. The buick century has smaller buick V8's and have carried more V6's(like my 231 V6) and had success for making acceptable torque and good-to-go horsepower with, and the century has a cheaper price-tag, and always has ever since buick created them. I've had a few kill stories with my century. The last one was yesterday when i creamed a "pumped-chevy" truck with air blower, dual exhaust, chevy logos everywhere, etc. I creamed him with my non-turbo 231 V6 and his truck had "454" painted on the doors. yeah, right:laugh:

Nice kill story. when will the ricers ever learn? like my quote says in my signature" ricers don't race, they rice".
Here's my latest kill story. Check it out:http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=36310

I just have to say I totally agree with you cody on the ricers. I think they are just about the most awful things around. I absolutely love that thread in this forum for buick kills vs rice rockets. those ricers are seldom equipped for a race vs our 430's and 455's.

Go out there and look for ricers to beat.

Find a nice stretch of motorway, and a lot of the ricers will show Buicks what speed is. Just a little traffic light to traffic light race with speeds below 225 kph isn't my idea of showing how fast your car is.

Well Erik I think you are pretty accurate in your statement. The kind of rice you find on the street is simply looking for someone to pick a fight with, and has no clue what they are doing. Going to a track most likely brings a great deal more knowledge and experience vs stupid ricers on the street.

Still, a Buick on the drag strip is a sight to see, simply because they are so enormous. I'd like to take a stock '70 electra 225 to the drag strip one day... see how much gas i can flush down the toilet with a 1/4 mile race =P

Actually, buick is trying to come back with some of their older muscle cars and turn them into new street-sweepers, meaning that you will go through the drivers seat when you drive it. Buick is trying to turn their eyes to the younger crowd of people. I have faith in them this time, because a-lot of thought has been given for buicks faster cars in the future. remember, you can give heavy modifications to an older buick, rather than a new ricer, of course ricers can think of body mods:laugh: Buick has some killer stock-runners out there too. Stage 1's and the 2 or 3 stage 2's, GSX, GS 455, 400, even the 350 GS's, GN's, GNX's, and a few more.
As long as im alive, i will be looking forward to taking on a few of the "fatser" cars with some of my "future planned" buicks.:3gears:

    NJBuickRacer I'd rather be racing...

I'd take you up on that if we weren't an ocean apart:grin: I've had the Vette up to 187 MPH (not KPH)on a public road, and if I want more it's just a gear swap away....Plus I get to rip 'em up light to light as well. The GS will be my cruiser/strip warrior and the Vette is my street racing/track terror:laugh:

Buick should have made more GS stage 2's.......ricers wouldn't know what went past them in the drag-strip or street, top-end or take off!
