Just curious....my Dad had saved the freshly rebuilt trans out of a late 80's Caravan that he ended up parting out. Looking to sell it for him.
Yea, its been a bad Dodge week. I guess I got what I paid for two years ago.....it was free. I did get it running after tracing wiring for countless days. I found an oxygen sensor wire had melted to the exhaust pipe! I had to seperate, unplug, cut, etc a whole mess of wires to find it. I rewired the car and now it scares the hell outta me. I'm waiting for the stupid thing to burst into flames. To be fair, I still only have about $300 in it. I recently put a trans in it. Luckily its the better three speed unit. I bought a $50 trans out of a Caravan that turned out to be a Chrysler remanufactered one! Hey GSXMEN, this spring I'll be searching for a minivan for my wife to replace our aging Estate Wagon. I'll be looking for a nice body with a bad engine or trans. Whats up with the tranny you have?????
Several years ago, my Dad had a late '80s Caravan. He had a local tranny shop totally rebuilt the trans. for $700. Unfortunately, the engine smoked so bad, it could fill an entire parking lot quickly!!ou: (typical 3.0l guide problem) Then he had some serious front end problems and finally gave up on it.
