I just picked up another five rallyes, so now I have seven plus the four on the car. It's not like I want this many wheels, but seing the prices they've been going for on evilbay, I though I'd give it a try. Hopefully this can offset what difference will come out from the posi I got which wasn't right, when it gets sold too.

    Should I sell:

    1. a set of five, with the little caps in the middle?
    2. a set of five without the little caps in the middle, and the caps separate?
    3. a set of four with the little caps in the middle, and one rim separate?
    4. a set of four without the little caps in the middle, and the caps and one rim separate?

I'm planning on keeping two as I like the large size tires for the freeway.

Make sure you check whether they are 6" or 7" wide rims. Easy way to tell is to put them flat on the ground, chrome side down and compare how deep the rims are to each other. You should be able to easily tell if any are an inch deeper.

How were the 6 / 7 available? The latest ones I saw on ebay were stamped 6*15 and they were really expensive, who would want the more narrow rims?

If you do a search, I know there are posts where I and others have discussed this. The short of it is, though, is that the wagons starting in the late 70's early 80's I believe had 15x7's instead of the 15x6's. Take a look at this picture I took last year. I'm pretty sure this is a 15x7. A 15x6 basically has one inch less wheel where marked.

But they look a little different don't they?

As far as I know, nope. They look exactly the same. All they did was add the inch in the back. I forgot to say, but there should be stamping on the back inside of the rim, just past the lip on the flat area. Quite often you can't see them because they are covered in brake dust, dirt, etc. Some wheel cleaner, a hard brush, and some fine steel wool should bring them out, though. Usually the date code, factory, etc. plus 15x6 or 15x7 I think was also stamped.
