Recently i struck a deal with a board member and bought a car in Southern california. I thought about driving down to get it but after adding up fuel costs and the long hours on the road i decided to have it transported. I called a broker and hoped for the best. we have all heard horror stories and i didn't want to have that happen to me. unfortunately shipping cost was an issue for me and thats why i chose a broker. I placed my order friday morning and i got a call monday morning from the company stating they had a truck and the car would be here tuesday( today) the guy who picked up the car was very professional and friendly and just happens to be a board member although i didnt think to ask his board name. He lives in the Seattle area and has a 3 car hauler. I believe he mostly works the west coast and sometimes to MT/ND. he kept in contact the entire time and was great to work with. I told him i would post his info here on the board and i Highly recommend him Strohs Auto transport Rick Stroh 206-794-4235 Strohsauto@earthlink.net
My Old Man had his 57 Bel Air transported from Florida to NYC . I believe it was on a big multi car hauler. Well All I can say is take out insurance & don't leave anything substantial in the car. He packed the trunk with all kinds of parts & the car must have wound up on the back because when it arrived the entire trunk had to be replaced because it was beat to death from the chit inside.
