Hey everyone, I've been on here for a while, and haven't posted anything here yet so I figured I may as well do it now. This may be a bit long, hard to tell on a widescreen monitor!

I've had the car for about 2 years. My brother originally rescued it in the mid 90's and began the restoration. Once he was out of university, he decided he needed something slightly more practical and sold it to my dad. Unforunately it sat for about 6 years until I had an opportunity to buy it from him when he decided to move, and have continued where my brother left off.

It started its life as a Skylark 350-2v, bench seat, green on green.

    Originally my brother -

-Had the bodywork done, painted black from the original green.
-Installed a console shift and buckets
    -Converted the interior to black
-Yanked the engine, bored .030 over, some mild head work done, Poston S-Divider, Crower Cam, Edelbrock performer carb, shift kit
    -14" rallyes
    -2.25" dual exhaust
    -HEI dizzy

I continued where he left off with

-Heads ported, intake ported, exhaust x-over blocked off
-TA Super Comp headers, Jet Hot coated
    -3" dual exhaust, flowmaster 50's
    -15" repro rallyes, 245-60-15 and 275-60-15
    -Larger Crower cam #50259
-1" spacer under the edelbrock carb

I have a few plans for the future, some are up in the air though...

-3.73 posi to replace the 2.56 peg
-Rebuilt qjet to replace the Ebrock
-Roller rockers (dunno what ratio) or stick with new stock rockers
-Front disc brakes, currently manual 4-drum
-Interior work, new carpet, redye door panels, fix the tach
-Fix some small rust bubbles on the passenger rear wheelwell, couple small dents, new paint!
-Maybe further head work, big valves, full gasket match - try to eek out 250cfms on the intake

I have a few pictures since I bought the car, first three are right when I bought it, next three are after new rims, rubber, headers and exhaust, and then the rest are last springs projects. I'll try to get some new ones when I get it out this spring!

No one can convince me that black isn't the best color for the lines of the Skylark/GS body nIce.

I know you do! If you'd take them out of the car when you go racing you may drop a couple tenths too!

Few new pics, the car is running pretty good with the rebuilt qjet... once I get the carb dialed in I'll have to do a new smokey video :3gears:

Very nice ride. I like the black/black instead of the green/green:laugh:
