Not to be outdone by my son Jeremy's car posts,I thought I'd put one on. I've been building this for 3 years, well shortblock has been done for 2. It's a 540ci, 12:1 compression solid roller cam,stage2 track elimator heads. Should drop the et's abit!. So I sent my converter in for a update to Ultimate Converter Concepts and was told my hi dollar 8 inch won't handle the power this combo will make. So now he has to order parts for a better converter.$$$$$$ more money. Oh well you can always make more. Lol.
Thanks to Mike Tomaszewski at Ta for the awesome block, heads, cam and all the other stuff I've got from them. Also the help answering all my questions. Terry's Engine for the block prep and all the machining. Steve Reynolds for the awesome fab work on pan, valve covers. Oh and Chris Skaling for the awesome head, intake porting. And my wife who pushed me to buy this from a add from jullian.I'm sure I've forgotten someone so thanks to everyone that helped bring this project to a finish. Can't wait to see how it runs. I think I shoulda took a better picture.

Looks good Dan. Should be a great bracket engine! Be prepared to find more "weak links" with the car as you start racing............the converter was just the start! LOL:D

    Congrats!

I was with JW yesterday afternoon at his shop putting the last parts on the build then were to run it in on his test stand . Towards the end I see the water pump built into the run stand was broken. Had to bail for dinner with Jims assurance he'd make repairs and run it prior to todays Dyno session.

Best of luck with it Dan.

A few recommendations from my experience.

A data logger to watch oil pressure. You'll be going faster and that is a tough thing to watch.

I saved myself from certain catastrophe the first time going for a full 1/4 pass.

It'll cost a few bucks to buy, but very little compared to repairing an engine at this level.
