Busy couple weeks helping my buddy get my car ready to paint. Everything edged ahead of time and assembled on the 13th. Painted on Valentine’s Day.
Picked this 67 GS 400 At Bowling Green Ky.-Buick Nationals in 2007- 5 miles from Beach Bend. Did frame off and painted back to original color- Ivory Haven't worked on it 13 years to finish it up.
Looks great Brian. I love '67s and I'm looking forward to seeing more photos as it comes back together.
Skylark, GS 400, Special, Special Deluxe, GS 340, GS California, or Sportwagon... I like them all. The 4-speed will be a cool feature.
Looks like a LOT of hard work was put into it. Looks BEAUTIFUL Bucket or bench?? What color is interior?
Bench seat, radio delete, plain old no console shifter and black interior. I have buckets but decided to run a bench seat.
Brian, Looks great will be looking forward to seeing your Progress. Allways liked the 67 look. Have you had this one long?
looks nice,my last gs was a 67,last I heard fred englhards son had it,nice car from LA,bought it off the used lot from a Chevy dealer in St Paul for $1495
That looks awesome Brian! Can't wait to see it finished. Are dressing it up as a GS or leaving it as a Skylark?
Do you have any more pics of those M/T's sitting in the frame? Did you have to move brake lines to install them?
Gonna be more like a stripped down Special. It will have GS400 on the dash and GS on the grille. No fender side trim, no quarter panel emblems. It will have the thin Special trunk trim. No GS scoops, no hood trim. It will have Buick letters on the hood and deck lid. It will have GS wheel well moldings.
I will have to move the brake line due to the junction block being right in that area. I had to clearance the crossmember slightly and clearance the headers for the steering shaft and then in two spots on the passenger side that were really close to the frame. Hopefully I can keep making progress on it.
If available, I'd appreciate any more pics you can provide of the areas you had to modify for the header installation. I have a brand new set of M/T's that i'm dreading to install. Is that gray primer i'm seeing on the tail panel in the above pic?
I’ll try to get pics while I install the headers. Yes, that is primer, the tail panel is getting painted black soon.
I like the way this sounds. This will be a cool and unique '67 with a very clean appearance. I especially like the thin trunk trim. In addition to the tail panel don't forget to spray the black on your 1/4 panel extensions.
