I would fix those wipers, and make sure you got fresh rubber on them. The one time you need them and they don't work, it's going to SUCK!:bla:

    Wiper Wiring Problem-

I took the dash back apart and pulled the connector from the wiper switch. With my test light grounded, I put it on each one of the femals ends of the connector that plugs into the switch.

When I touched the wire that would be closet to the drivers door, the light came on and the wipers took off. So this tells me there is something open in the circuit, right... If I can put a ground on it like I did with my test light, it completes the circuit and puts power to the motor. So I guess I need to check my ground then right?

After I knew the motor would work with my light attached to the wire, I put the connector back into the switch and then turned it on and it did nothing.

This is the closet thing I could find in my body manual. I know I have the connector plugged in right but I do not have a ground into the switch at all. Help?

The ground to the switch is actually at the switch mounting ring, there should be a male spade connector at the ring.

    Ground wire to spade terminal.

The entire dash bezel is plastic, there are small metal connectors at various locations which ground all switches.

    Cullen,
The ground source at the wiper source can be a fragile connection at times.
A switch mounting screw presses a ring terminal against the steel frame of the switch. This is the ground source.
The weak point here is the switch mounting screw passes thru a hole in the steel frame & is turned into the back of the plastic dash bezel. Worn/loose hole for the screw will lead to intermittent poor connection.
Try changing the location or the ring terminal to another or the 3 screws.

All I can find in my manuals is wiring diagrams, no pictures of the back of the switch.

I knew I had an extra ground when I went to put it back together...

Got the picture I needed. I'll be able to get it back together no problem tomorrow now.
