Thanks guys, I thought I'd never get all that crap cleaned up, my carb came in yesterday and my air cleaner also, I'll try to snap a pic of that settin on there....I hope all the gaskets I replaced do alright, I put main seals in, oil pan gasket, valve cover gaskets and intake gasket, hope all these help....I found that the intake was the main problem, it was by passing the back rubber gasket bad!

Chrome..how nice would that be, you can't get nothin for these 340's :moonu: .....ol well, I've always liked stuff not "over done" so I'm happy with it so far, gonna look sweet in the black engine bay!.....its going in my 66 Skylark 2dr ht I sat the carb and breather on it....couldn't help it :Brow:
