Doug (dpcp66) in Turlock Cal. is making them from steel. Check his profile for his e-mail.

I'm 99% sure I have a pair of used ones from my 66 GS. Are they left and right? I don't remember. I put in new ones when my engine was out and kept the old ones. As I recall, they were fine and probably don't even need re-vulcanizing.
They're at my ex's house. I'll check this weekend and make sure they are still around. If you already found them, that's ok too. Let me know.

I still have them here. I like to sell them in sets for $75. These are made out of steel with the holes for you to put them back in the right place. We made them in blank form as well as there are those guys out there that have made mods to a chevy motor mount to get them to work when they dont have the correct one. If you plan to do any racing with the nailhead I would recomend getting a set. My brother has broken 2 of them and that is why we cam up with these. If you plan to restore the car and once in a great while beat on the car then get a stock replacement from someone that has them. Good luck

    DPCP66,

Buick Kid needs the steel plates that the mounts bolts to, not the mounts themselves. Kinda hard to explain without owning a 65-66 GS, they are peculiar to those only.

The plates "adapt" the 401/425 to the a-body. The actual motor mounts are also unobtanium. Most (myself included) have them re-vulcanized.

    Those unobtanium mounts

Who all is revucanizing and how much does this cost?
I know Cars advertises this, any body else?

    Thanks.

I have a catolog from Steele, Rubber Products (what's in a name.....)

They have a big range of motor-mounts for Mopar and GM cars. In most cases you have to send your old mount and have to allow 3 weeks to get them back home.

Look at their website for more info: http://www.steelerubber.com

Ted, see above - Steele did mine. I think it ran somewhere around $75 for the pair.

    hey guys,

The western auto in Santa Fe Springs, CA has any motor mount from the 1930's to present. If they don't have it they can get it. That was the promise he made to me and he sold me my last set within the last year.

    Mark,

I talked to the guys on Sunday and asked him to verify his statements to me because I was going to send him a bunch of business if he could back up his words. His name is Alex and his number is (562) 868-4721. They had a motor mount on sunday for my sons 1960 Falcon "In Stock" and nobody else in the area including the Falcon specialty guys and the price was great. Give him a call and let him know that what I told him was true. Good Luck. and happy Ford Hunting
