I know I have already asked this question, but I am replacing my 350 with a 455 in my 69 GS. Do I bolt the motor mounts to the front or to the rear on the motor. Towards or away from the timing cover?
    Thanks & Aloha,
    Scott  :beer

in the B and C body cars the engine mounts go in the rear pair of holes (engine forward, towards the radiator). i can't imagine that the A body cars would have it further back....

anyways, you should have about 6 in of clearance from the bellhousing to the firewall when positioned properly.

    For "A" body

    Towards your timing cover. :bglasses:
