The belt should be loose and have about 3/4" play.

    Is the water pump OK?

    How is it hooked up?

My water pump is fine my belt has about an inch or maybe inch in a half play......its not tight at all.....we took the pump back off and hooked it directly to the battery and it still binds on something....I called summit yesterday and they were bout useless so I got to call moroso tomorrow i guess. I got one more week to race before im gone so I gots to get this piece running.......My v6 does have a clockwise pump correct??

    I might be wrong but

you may want to try swapping the wires. Reversing the polarity usually has the same effect, just backwards. Try running it without the belt, and make sure it has the full 13 or so volts to it. Electrical motors are pretty simple so its gonna be easy..let us know...fish :beer

    Pump

I called moroso today and they said that the epoxy on the magnets probably came loose or off and the magnets are probably binding the motor...So im making a road trip to summit tomorrow to return it. See if that does anything....Fish the tech guy at moroso said the exact thing about the wires and so I did try that but didnt get nothing thanks a ton for yalls info its appreciated.
