These are pictures of the car all spot primered, ready to be wet sanded, my wife is in one of the pictures and the other picture is of my son and I standing in front of the car. The other pictures are of the black with the red metal flake, you can't really see the red flake very well in those pictures. I don't have pictures yet, but the red paint is now done, I was over working on the car on Saturday and the whole car was being cut and buffed, it was really coming out nice. I have learned a lot in this whole customizing project, there has been a lot of frustration on my part and I have really had to learn to be patient. If you want the job done right you can not rush any of the stages along the way. I have also learned that there are 2 questions you should try to avoid asking when dealing with this kind of work, how much is it going to cost? And when is it going to be done? When dealing with these classic cars you can never anticipate problems that are bound to arise, and you don't know what kind of shoddy workmanship has been done on the car before you became the owner. This has been a learning experience for me, and I have really enjoyed the time I have spent on the car thus far.

    Hey Skylark300

    Skylark 300,
I hoped to have my car far enough along this last summer to go to the cruise nights at Tom's Burgers, but the progress on the car was pretty slow going, I plan on going to Tom's this year on Wednesday nights. The red is now done on my car, I went and looked at it on Monday, the whole car had been cut and buffed, except for the hood. All of the chrome is all back on, as well as the rear bumper, taillights, and headlight bezzels. I plan on having the lake pipes installed this week, as well as the new side mirrors I bought. I will have the car back as soon as those few things are completed, and I will cruise it like that. I am going to be going back to the custom shop where all the major work has been done at, maybe on a Saturday, to have the inside of the door jams finished, and then on another weekend I will have the dash and all of the metal trim pieces around the windows painted porshe red as well. I will post pictures as soon as I get them. Talk to you soon,
    Mike
