OK, cables have arrived. The length and the part number was a good theory but wrong. ordered the C-2340-46 hoping it would be 46" long. Its not. Its 41.5" to fitting with 90 degree bend (so 3.5" shorter than stock), #2 gauge, red end and hopefully that will be long enough but we'll see soon. Negative one is smaller wire but length matches the part number exactly. C 2341-28....28" long....I should have looked at specs it was for small block so of course lighter gauge wire. It is a DEAD MATCH for original GS 350 side post negative cable though except end is 90 degrees instead of straight (vise will fix that) and incorrect numbers stamped into it. Course I have the NOS 350 HD positive cable which is all black and #2 gauge so could cut that to length as use as negative as it has the pigtail and everything. Just have to put a new end on it. So as long as the positive wire reaches I'll be ok. GM had some odd angles on the wire coming from the battery according to assembly manual so hopefully it will work. Both packages were opened to measure so they are mine now. Hardly ever return anything from the US anyway, more hassle than its worth. Its too bad we can't buy any friggin parts for our cars.
