Hey Brandon, that's a wacky dist number! That's the # where the yellow paint is on the dist? It's really strange, that's the Patent number on old script dist caps. Double check the # and let me know, I might be interested in it if it's a diff # or I can track that # down.
Any idea on the cam specs? I'm interested in it. ---------- Post added at 11:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:53 PM ---------- Screw it I'll take the cam. Pm me payment info. Thanks
Hey Frank. Well I found another number. I read the patent number first. Found this on the side. 1111260 7C20. Maybe thats the right one. Brandon
Good morning Brandon, I can work with that #, I'll take it, cap the whole deal. That's if James doesn't want it cuz he answered first. SH to 02771, you can PM me with a total + your PP address. You are really tearing into that puppy now, huh?
James, I posted the wrong number, check and see if you can use it, and if not Frank is next in line. ---------- Post added at 09:41 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:36 AM ---------- Thanks for making me look again! Im learning this stuff. But yes your right, James should have first refusal. But anyway, I tore into the 430 in the car you saw for a cam swap, and found the inside of the engine extremely grungy, and cam bearings that had literally fallen apart. Pieces of babbit material just missing. I bought another 430 that was more recently rebuilt, and am going to have the new 430 gone through and built the way I want, and swap. No sense messing with the other one. Thanks again Frank, Brandon
Are the rocker arms in the first pic for sale? The rocker arm assembly behind the cylinder heads.:Brow:
They were removed from a 68 430. I have a set from a 67 430 that are pretty much identical I would sell if your interested. Not sure what they are worth really. Let me know what you think. Brandon ---------- Post added at 04:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:45 PM ---------- Looks like I can ship for $14.00. If your interested Pay-pal works for me. Brockv903@yahoo.com. In the form of a gift if you can. Thanks, Brandon
