Called tri city plating the other day to have my 55 Buick front bumper and bullets plated They said they would be at the Mopar meet at Carlisle Pa if I wanted to drop them off . So I went up yesterday. HOLY CRAP !!! Row after row of new Dodge Chargers Etc Etc Etc Very impressive . The old guy at Tri city plating as I was walking up said " That's a 55 Buick front bumper , ain't no Mopar " He said as long I been doing bumpers . I can tell by looking at them ! Bill
I have been. It is a huge event. Try the mopars at National Trails event in August and you have that size plus racing.
We had a visit with Tri-city plating at Carlisle today also. Picked up 1970 GS front bumper that was chromed. Looks good. The rear bumper needs rust holes repaired that showed up during the sand blasting process. Need to find a better rear bumper core or send more $$$ to repair this one.
We were told 4 to 6 weeks also. Dropped it off at the Spring Carlisle event this year and the front bumper was done just before the Mopar event. We wanted to save money on shipping.
Our "Mopars at the Fort" show was last weekend. Drove the green car down, started raining so had to get it home before I saw the whole show but some good cars.
The Mopars at Carlisle event is one of my favorites, but now I live almost 3000 miles away. It completely blows away the GM show. I think only the Corvette show compares, from my experience.
I went to Chrysler National at Carlisle 2 years ago , dozens of Superbird/Daytona !!! very impresive ! I also liked the Hurst National that was held the same week-end just across the street . Went to the Super Chevy show last week-end at Reading, Pa about an hour or so from there but not quite as big as this one was !
