Mold on seats

    Anyone know what works best to get mold off vinyl bucket seats

    Simple green and hot water.

    I've also added a few drops bleach/chlorine per spray-bottle. It's weak enough to not harm anything but still disinfects the lifeforms.

    You also need to figure out why its molding and correct the cause - the mold will come back if you don't...

    Thanks everyone for the ideas. Bill the seat were in the basement out of the car. I had covered them in plastic instead of a sheet

    I have heard of people putting UV/black lights in places to kill mold.:Do No:

    Jasons is right Simple Green and some soapy hot water let it dry in the sun if you can I did it and they look Great after vinyl protectant is used.

    He is from Buffalo. He can forget about sun for the next nine months or so. But a nice hot day in the sun would kill the nasty stuff. Drive to Florida for a week or so with them.:bglasses:

    Thank for all the help the brackets are getting weld in this week.

    My 65 Riv was hidden away since '78, still all original, the seats were covered with mold and garage dust and dirt, I used full strength Tilex to clean them, and Meguires vinyl shine to polish till they looked like new. :beers2:
