Well checked around I can say that the ac switch I installed is not the problem it's working fine. I was in car putting the face plates back on dash and had my foot on the brake and it died down so I did it again and it died down again.. so I pumped the brakes about 5 or so times and it cut off. I cranked it up again it takes two turn overs and I check carb and looks like gas or moisture at the base around carb..So I'm going to look at the old carb tomorrow. Will the stock Qjet run good with the adapter. I am going to get some new points rotar and cap to see if anything changes

If your going back to the q-jet then you don't need an adapter.

UPLOAD PHOTS OF THE ENGINE WITHOUT THE AIR CLEANER (TOP VIEW) did you knock a vacuum line off some where. Do you understand what we mean about putting a vacuum gauge on to test. Everybody here really wants to help you but your kind of all over the map and. Like in one of your posts you talked about (power/no power at 120 MPH) and electrical shocks

Maybe we should regroup a little bit and start back with some very basic Q & A first off a timeline of what when and how would be helpful.

Said when you pushed the brake pedal and it starts to cut off?? Huge vacuum leak at the booster?

When you were doing your A/C mod did you knock a vacuum hose off or (maybe cracked the vacuum reserve canister ball) up on the firewall in the area of your heater/ A/C box

That's why I keep saying to upload some photos we can see if something is disconnected if not we can point out where for you to check

Do yourself a favor don't spend any more money on parts instead take that money and buy a vacuum testing gauge most parts stores have them for about $25.00

Then post again and we will tell you what to do next.

Unless it winds up being something obvious like the brake booster is leaking or one of the other hoses (there are several)

WE CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH TEST-TEST-TEST-TEST-TEST-TEST-TEST come now say it with me, ok now just those in the back, ok now those down front now all together TEST-TEST-TEST-TEST

So if the brake booster is leaking that's my problem..I say a small amount around it but didn't pay to much attention to it...I will take pictures tomorrow. ...

Thank you all for your help

Any vacuum leak at the booster would pose a problem. Small or big. If you KNOW the hose leaks, get a new one. If your not sure, TEST TEST TEST as mentioned before. Do what smar said and get a vacuum gage. It can save a bunch of head aches. Plus its a good diagnostic tool to have if you like to wrench on your car yourself.

Based on what you say, you may have a vacuum leak inside the booster. When pumping brake pedal causes engine to stumble or die.
To test this, disconnect the brake booster vacuum line from the carb, or intake, and plug the port from carb or intake. Pump the brakes and see if it changes result.

The Quadrajet should not need an adapter to go on the original intake.
