I purchased a 72' 350 engine off Ebay that had mismatched head and Intake manifold bolts. Some of the stock bolts were there...I just don't feel right about putting non-stock bolts (that don't match) on the engine.

I'm hoping that someone out there might have a surplus of these bolts who would be willing to sell some to me?

    I'm looking for:
    1. 4 Long stock head bolts.
    2. 4 short stock head bolts.
    3. 18 stock head bolt washers.
    4. 12 stock intake bolts.

    Sincere Thanks,
    Brad Winter - O.P. KS.

I think i can help you out on the head bolts and possibly the intake bolts. I'll check through some boxes tomorrow.

I forgot to list the one rocker-shaft bolt that was missing also.

I appreciate everyone who is taking a look to see if they have a few of these bolts laying around. I tried to make it to the salvage yards (at least the few that are open on Saturday) and all of them had either closed for the day or didn't have a buick motor. I didn't realize single bolts would be so difficult to obtain (without buying a kit).

    Thanks again for looking...

Okay i have 4 long, 4 short head bolts, 1 rocker shaft bolt and 12 intake bolts. As for the washers, you sure the head bolts had washers stock? i dont see any on my motor.

I'm not sure. The washers look like they belong (they are definitely a high grade steel washer). But, I wouldn't bet on it.

I have a couple of 300's and niether of them have washers on the head bolts either (the head bolts are a different length than the ones for the 350 so i couldn't use them).

I just found another fun dissimilarity. I took the rocker shafts off to lubriplate them and they are also different from one another (one set of rockers are aluminum and the other set is stamped steel). They appear to have identical dimensions allowing the valves to open the same distance. But, once again, i am concerned about which set is the right one for the engine, and if they will make one of the banks of valves open more than the other. I do know that hydraulic lifters are somewhat forgiving...

I'll measure the lift with a dial guage once I get the heads bolted back on.

I'm sure grateful to you for finding the bolts. How much would you like for them as well as your time (and shipping costs of course)?

How's $10 shipped sound? Hell for that price, if you , i'll throw in all the head bolts i can find and the rocker bolts. You never know when you'll need an extra lol. As for the aluminum rocker arms and the steel, Thats normal, Someone replaced one side with the new steel rocker shafts. Im about to do that on a new motor im building. Why dont you email me and we can set up the deal if you want the bolts.
