Anyone know of ANY junkyards in Michigan that stocks older cars? I live in Flint....lucky me....and there isn't much around here except newer autos.. Thanks in advance Jared
Are the ones that were on North Dort Highway no longer there? Man, it used to be lined with junkyards, including Mike's Auto Parts (owned by Greg Gibson ). You might take a run down to Beasley's Auto parts, located on Lippincott just east of M15 (State Rd) in Davison. I think they've still got some old stuff. K
Man. I remember Dort Hwy in the early '80's. We were still tripping over old Buick iron at every turn back then. :ball: Devon
Not much anymore, Complete Auto, Mike Marko calls me when he gets some old Buick stuff, Guys at Fenton Auto Salvage too, but nothing lately in years, Holly Auto called about a GN a couple of months ago. The only other places are the guy in Vestaburg and I don't know if Bob's in Fostoria is still around, they are the only ones that still had old parts. You might try this link: http://car-part.com/ can search on anywhere in the US, found a '83 Riv oil pan in Charlotte, MI for a lady in Fenton, was shipped next day for next to nothing. I remember meeting John Stevens and Mike Blower at Wolf's on Grand Traverse way back when we all were "kids"! And there were Dan and Tom, too, now not into Buicks.
Yeah, this area had a lot of older cars at ONE time....Anymore, you're lucky to find anything more than 20 years old sitting out there. Just hoping someone had a hotspot out there that they were willing to share....Thanks a lot for the input everyone...Any more out there that know any??? =)
"Buds" somewhere south of Stanton dragway had a bunch of old stuff. I haven't been there in years though.
I was in Grand Ledge (next to Lansing) about 4yrs ago, and CATS had a couple of Skylarks, and an Electra I think. Probably long since crushed.
