Anybody know the car or where it if from? Any info would be helpful. I've got my heart on this or something like it. I'd really like to get some info to decide if I need to spend the cash to be a bidder. On top of that it goes on Wednesday so I can't even go over a day early and check it out. Thanks, Mike https://www.mecum.com/lots/PA0819-378940/1969-buick-gs/
Don't know anything about it, but looks like a good car. Couple of pics look kinda car-dealerish (Volo maybe). I like engine specs as much as the next guy, but seems weird they give no info on other things like body/paint, interior age, suspension/chassis, yadayada..... EDIT: and 8:1 compression seems suspect as to knowledge of the engine by the owner or the engine builder's skills......
I hear ya, too much engine info and not much else and I really don't care what the engine's doing other than it doesn't rattle (bearing) or smoke. The fact that it is not an original engine makes me feel even better about yanking it out after one trip to the drags if I got it. I'm not big on the vinyl top but it is blue and has auto on the floor with buckets and those are some of my main wants. Of course a nice body and quality paint is mandatory. Too bad it has a reserve. Black interior and the blue looks a little different. It has been on E-Bay multiple times and went to $21385 and didn't hit the minimum on a prior auction. So now they are using that as the opening bid. It's very nice looking and I'm sorta interested but I really don't want to pay for originality plus the dealer: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/buick/gran-sport/2258534.html https://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Buick...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 As far as things go I wish the pinstripe wasn't even there. I don't dislike it but I like the idea of a clean side which is why I'm not looking at '69 Skylarks.
