    Hello

I have a mechanical fuel pump on my present car, do I need to do anything special if i swap it for a electric fuel pump? Do I need a regulator as i am only pushing 150 hp.

    Why??

:3gears: would you do that? i took the electric pump off my car this year (13.19@104) and "basketball" sam davis has run 12.30s with a stock fuel pump. electrics are noisy and wear out quickly with street driving-i hated mine. :3gears:

It depends on the pump. Some electrics will have built-in regulators. If not, then YES!, you will need a fuel regulator and a pressure guage.

i would definatly NOT switch to an electric pump if i was you , they are noisy and exspensive , and with the power you are making there is no good reason to make the switch. im running a 600 hp 455 and im thinking of switching to one of JW's mechanical pumps because the noise of the electric is drivng me nuts .mike

I still run a stock Stage 1 fuel pump and stock fuel lines.
