Anybody have another way to get a hold of Curt? I am not getting any response with 515-685-3397... (left messages) I am looking for status on the rims I have paid for. Thanks,
Drove past his place yesterday, garage looked open... Curt's a one man operation, patience is the best I can tell you.
This thread really bothers me on a number of levels. There are no excuses. Do what you say, and say what you do. Set expectations and MEET THEM!
I would like a call back to see what is going on...(and of course the rims I ordered). Any chance anyone in his area could stop by to see whats up?...Or somebody that knows him personally? The $$ I sent for the rims, isn't much to some... but it is for me! James
I spoke to Curt today, He had been waiting on some new chrome barrels for wheels and was busy building wheels.
Yes, I talked to him Friday. (I called him..... and he answered the phone) Curt has my rims in work and expects to ship in a couple weeks. He mentioned that he is busy, and doesn't always get to his phone calls. (I will give him a week and a half...... and start calling) If I didn't keep on schedule, or keep in touch in my line of work.... My customers would come and get me! (Program Manager, Aerospace large parts machine shop) Bill, can you get somebody from the board to stop by Curt's? James
there is really no reason for vendors to not respond to customers requests, no matter how busy the vendor may be. it leaves a rotten taste in one's mouth.
This is very troubleing to me Wild Bill, especially since you are so good to me and the other members on this board. I hope this matter gets resolved, and you get all you wanted and more.
Hey, thought I would close this out... Wheels came in, Curt had some personal issues on the home front. They look great and the price was good!
My 2 cents if any cares, I just today received my 15x8's from McWheels!! I am so happy with these rims. They look absolutely awesome. The chrome is perfect. I can not wait to get them on. Thanks so much Curt. I for one, will stand by Curt's rims. I might just have to get 2 more for the front!:eek2: Keep in mind, a flash camera in a dark basement does not do the chrome and paint justice
Nice wheels Jay! I'm happy with the wheels Curt made for me as well - you just have to accept that it takes him a while to make them as he is a one man operation.
The chrome still looks new on my wheels - though I did not get them that long ago. However, my former set that Curt built I had for a while and the chrome still looked new on that set as well.
Those look sweet!! I hate to ask but what did they cost if you don't mind me asking? Can you get a 15x6 rim?
Thanks guys. I'll post a link to Curt's info. I think he can make a varied number of widths, sizes and backspacing. His prices are very reasonable. talk to him. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=204007&highlight=mcwheels
