I've got 245/60-15 on mine with 15x7 wheels. No rubbing since I took the Hooker super comp headers off (one tube goes outside the frame).

I'm another who runs 275/60R15's in the back on 15x7's and it's just fine! It looks great too!

I ran 285/70-15 on 7in rims for driving to the track. Cut the gear ratio down and didn't look bad with the rear end lowered some with some old springs.

Even drove 3 hrs each way to Etown and ran 10s after changing over to slicks.

Not as brave these days.....I trailer to most races.

The first thing I did when I bought BigRed in 1993 was get rid of the stock wheel/hub caps and got some 7" rims with 275/60's on the back.

Here we are 18 seasons later, prolly close to 80,000 miles total with LOTS of punishment on the street and strip - been through at least 5 or 6 sets of rears and its still the setup I use. Never an issue

My drag radials sit on 8" buick rallye's ...

Oh - and just for fun, at MusclePaloosa this past fall I ran my car in what I call "True Street Trim" which meant street tires (275/60/15 Cooper Cobra's currently) AND most of the junk I usually carry still in the trunk. Car went 12.4 on a soft leave  :Dou:

Thanks, I think the original color was bamboo cream. Mine has had a repaint over the years before I got it, it is a bit darker than the original bamboo cream as seen on the door jambs and inside trunk lid

Are you sure it's not sandpiper beige?

I run 275 60 15 drag radials on 15x7 rims with plenty of clearance on both sides

I used to have that on the Centurion: 275/60/15 on 15x7..

I also ran 255/60/15 on 15x6 rims and they looked a bit too bubbly on the sides..

I just put 275/60/15's on the back of my Skylark and they look great but I did have to deflate the tires to get them onto the hub.
