Hi Everyone, Two months ago I gave deposit to Matt Murphy in Malta Montana on a 1971 GS350 project car. He faxed me a title and bill of sale. The title didn't come through very well and was not readable. I asked for a better copy and he said that he was going to Ireland for a month but that we'd pick things up when he got back in town. I haven't heard from him since June 11th. I called the company that he faxed the title/BOS from and he hasn't worked there in two months. They said he went down to work with his dad on a project. I've emailed him a couple times and haven't got anything back. I've tried calling his number and just get voicemail. Matt and I had many conversations on the phone and by email and he seems to be on the level. I think he's probably just got busy or maybe doesn't have During one of his conversations I asked if he is a member on the V8 buick forum and he said he was. So, I'm hoping that someone here knows him. Anyone know Matt or how I can get a hold of him? Or if you do know him, please let him know that I'm trying to get a hold of him. Thanks.
I received an email today from a board member that this person is scamming people on Craigslist again. After months of persistence I tracked the person down and got my deposit back. If anyone else has fallen victim to this person's scams, please feel free to get in touch with me and I can try to help.
There is a stand up board member who also lives in Malta MT. I don't remember his screen name though. His first name is Rick. Glad to hear that you got your money refunded.:beer
