Was wondering if anyone was parting out a car that can get me a set of locks that are keyed alike. Of all the parts cars we have,I can't seem to locate a set of door locks and a trunk lock that use the same key.I don't want to have to use 13 keys to open the car. Is there a way to have the door locks switched to match the trunk locks I have? Can a locksmith do that??

    locksmith can-

no problem- probably cost $25 and take 20 minutes. They'll shave (or change) the tumblers to all work with one key. Bryan

Thanks guys... Some options to look into. I have about 20 door locks and 5 each trunk locks and glove box locks but can't seem to match anything up. I really don't care if the door locks match the ignition or trunk, since this car will be raced primarily. I just want to be able to lock it if I ever travel to a track sometime.. :beer

    Pat,
The key blanks, and locks were changed each year. I know 1970's were "J/K", 1971's were "A/B", and 1972's were "C/D", so that alone should help you sort them out.

PS. I can't wait until the day comes when we ask to see the keys for the Concours Cars. When it gets to that point I think I'll quit.

You could just take the locks to a locksmith.

NPD sells an entire car set for 70-77 GM cars ; P/N C-2187-129G cost $52.95. That is what I used on my 72 Skylark that had not one matching lock on the car...Only problem was the lever that was for the trunk lock is straight, just re-use you stock bent lever.
