Ok, trust me when I say there is no boycott by the mopar group. bK has sent his money in, myself and the other 2 mopar locals from Detroit are coming, just not on the list yet. Tom Hoover and kid have other obligations. I am sure Tom Cannon is coming. So I think we can put the mopar boycott idea to bed
If it's not the Mopars, then maybe it's the Ramblers. I only see one on the list. p I heard that they are jealous of the Corvettes' advantage.
Adrian and myself will be there for sure as well as 3 or 4 other cars from Team Canada. Sorry for the delay in registering . We'll get it paid real quick.
Seth I missed Paul Petcou being in but what I was noticing was that the Mopars were from the FAST side of the ledger and not the old school PS guys. Glad to hear the Mopar contingent is all in as usual. Especially since I sometimes play in their end of the pool. If I can get my nephew there we can help out on the Rambler side. Or maybe Threefidee would be willing to run an AMC. I have actually seen that Pontiac enthusiast, from Pontiac IL behind the wheel of one. Strange but true. Of course I would make him come up and drag it over himself :bla: Mark
No problem Mark. To be honest I probably couldn't ID half the cars in that list as to whether they are FAST or PS. This thread is the first I have heard of any boycott as well. Anyway I just sent my money and registration so hope the car makes it!

Mark, Good to see you plan on attending and bringing the Judge out. I guess that means the healing process is right on schedule? :TU:
I know of one Rambler thats been "retired" and they plan on getting another car ready for Stanton. But who knows, they've been known to change their mind before o No:
This wouldn't be the first event where we are the only AMC, but if we are the only AMC, we would also be the fastest AMC, and if something breaks, we're the slowest AMC. Could bring a second AMC if they would allow after market rims and smaller tires on the front, and someone loans me the money to get a new posi for it. My question is, are the Studebakers the ones boycotting? Bob
I think they might want appearance money..... Nah, I was just kidding guys. See you all at the Studebaker car show / swap meet next week end (May 5-6-7) in South Bend.

Just checked in and had not seen registration for Martin. I'll be sending mine in and I think there will be two other Studebaker guys iregistering also.
I only see a couple of FAST cars...what's up with that? I want to see them run. There weren't very many there last fall either. We need them there.
Steve, Larry's new car is a very mellow FAST car to go out and have fun with. It is a mildly set up '74 GTO with a 350 Pontiac motor. He wanted to see if the small block Pontiac could keep up with the small block Mopars and Chevy's. Mostly he had it around, loved it, and knew it would be a super slow PS car so why not make it a slow FAST car instead.:spank: Chris it is coming along slower now. They are telling me I have a ways to go yet and have not completely gotten past the idea of still needing surgery on the ribs. I am hopeful and staying positive. Mark
