How much is one of these worth? '67 convertible Skylark, 340-4v. A nice looking cruiser as is. From a restoration perspective it needs everything except the motor.
Jim, Thanks for the response. We've owned this car for almost 5 years, it is actually my girlfriends. Or at least she likes to think it is hers. I am not a big fan of the rear wheel skirts so have deemed this one a non keeper. Thanks again, Taylor
67 conv. There is one close to me in Ohio that is all original but needs some little things, same color as yours and its a driving car, he is asking $4,500 its not bad has like 104,000 miles and its all there, just went up for sale yesterday don't see these that much around here :Brow: Dan.
Sounds about right. I'm estimating mine will sell for $4000-$6000. What would a nicely restored one bring?
Taylor, That's one of only 6319 convertibles for that model year. I don't know about prices in the States, but here it will sell for about 8500 US $ (including shipping and registration) Catalog of Buick says 16 K for an example in A1 condition (1990 price) Browse at http://www.collectorcartraderonline.com/adsearch.html for prices. :Smarty:
Yes, she's a rare bird for sure, figure maybe 30% remaining. Shipping to Northern Europe adds at least $1500. My '68 Convertible went to Sweeden, seems to more interest over there.
Sweden is well know for it's American car enthousiasts. On the Power Big Meet in Vsteras there were 8 1958 Buick Limited Convertibles present the other year. With a production total of only 839, I think that's unique for a country outside the USA :TU: There are over 80 1958 Limited Convertibles in Sweden from what I heard......:jd: 1959 Cadillacs in Sweden: 40 Eldorado Biarritz convertibles, 17 Eldorado Sevilles(hardtop) and almost 80 Series 62 convertibles, There are over 450 '59 Cadillacs in Sweden.
Try to go there in the first weeks of July, Taylor. Power Big Meet is always the 2nd weekend of July. http://www.bigmeet.com Or catch a big bird this week and join in at the 2004 Big Meet :TU:
I'd say 3-4k in current condition. It's be worth 8 or so fully restored. Sadly these just aren't as opular as a GS400. Do a quick search on the boards and Ebay to get a more accurate number though...
This car looks to have your typical convertible rust in the trunk and quarters. Frame, floors and radiator support look to be solid.
If I spend the 7-10 thosand dollars to give this car a quality restoration I then wont be able to sell it for less than $16,500. Since there are so few of these sold and even fewer high quality examples how much a fully restored one will bring seems like pure speculation? Anybody ever see one of these sell for over $10,000? I've seen really nice hardtops go for $6000.
I'm thinking I will give this car a chance and take her up north for the Summer, or at least for a couple of weeks. Way too hot here for a convertible:af: .
