Mallory tach

    How do I hook up a Mallory Pro Tach with rev limiter and shift light to an HEI ?

    black to ground
    red to 12v
    green to ?????
    white to ?????

    Green to tach output on distributor cap

    White to ashtray light wire.

    I just couldn't convince myself that ONE little green wire could do all those functions from a single "tach" connection.
    I also didn't want to blow up a vintage Mallory tach in perfect condition.

    i have the mallory tach with shift light and rev limiter and its hooked just like Larry said. :TU:

    The tach is now hooked up and works fine except that it's about 10-12 percent FAST. It is set for 8 cylinder sooooo.
    How do you calibrate this thing?

    Gary,
    I don't think you can calibrate that tach. I'd call or e-mail Mallory. Maybe they can do it for you.
