I want to install a 6 ez but already have an accel super coin and ballast resistor bolted to my inner fender .Do i have to go back to the stock coil? i,m worried about the 45,000 rating of the super coil + whatever the new mallory coil will be
The instructions for the Mallory box should list compatible coils. If you haven't bought the box yet, go to the Mallory site and ask for a list of compatible coils. On CD type ignitions, the original coil + wire does nothing more than turn the box on.
